My Pti swaps and the first day of school pics!

031  Hello! Heres one of two swaps i made for the PTI swap, round 8. I used my well oved Spiral Bouquet and Birthday Basics. Check out that DP! I fell in Love with October Afternoon recently. I love this pattern, especially. Its called Rain Boots. The ribbon is SU! tafetta, which I cant seem to ever get to tie nicely. Not a fan of it. 040

This is my other swap card. I used Women of Life for the flowers and Spiral Bouquet for the sentment.I like the Swiss Dots CB folder. It just adds that extra special touch. That yummy ribbon is American Crafts. I love it, so I bought lots of it. I like the brown as well. Its super stretchy so you can get more out of it, I think. 023  These are 2 of my 4 kids. Hannah is 6 and in 1st grade, Robert is 10 and in 5th. Robert does NOT like getting photographed. Anyways, thaks for stopping by!Kristi

Happy Birthday, Christian!

I made this card for my daughter's friends bday. I am so not good at man/boy cards but I think it turned out "boyish" enough. I thought the cuttlebug folder went well with the wheel/circle theme of the card. I got my ribbon and glitter on the card, too! The inside of the tire has black stickles and the ribbon is masculine enough. It isnt apparent on the photo, but the "dirt" in the truck is brown Fun Flock. Cute!!! I am not sure about the screw brad.. it just needed one more accent and so there it went. Thanks so much for looking, and stay tuned, I thought I would have a little blog candy giveaway in the next week or so. Also, I still need some help with my watermark, and where, oh where is my counter?? I cant get it on my blog. Any ideas? Thanks for stopping by! Kristi:)

Thought of You...

047  Happy Sunday! I was paying around with my new BasicGray Eva 6x6 and I love these papers. The colors are so rich. I had originally intended to use this as Jen's Sfytt, but it didnt turn out that way, did it! I used SU! retired Purely Pomegranate cs. I never did really get into that color, so I have a ton of it. But it does come in handy as it matches these papers. The flower is a mix of Verve's Thankful Blossoms and Petals and stems. I stamped the bloom twice on the Eva paper and cut out. The second is on a dimensional with a Michael's faux dew drop center. Check out my Pomegranate dew drop. I figured out how to make my dew drops match every color. I took my 1/4 inch circle punch, punched the circle out of cs, and adhered it with Crystal Effects to the BOTTOM of the dew drop. Voila'! Custom Dew Drop, and all you need are the clear ones. I am posting several entries todays, so stay tuned! Have a blessed day!

Recipe~ Stamps: Verve Stamps Petals and Stems, Thankful Blossoms, Essential Sentiments {My Favorite Things}. Cs: Purely Pomegranate, WW, Eva dp. Ink: VersaMagic Dew Drops in Tea Leaves, Perfect Plumeria, Key Lime, Antique Linen and Palette Noir. Extra's: Classic and scallop Ovals Nestabilities, Dew Drops, 1/4 circle punch, ticket corner punch, word window punch, CE, ribbon{Michaels} dimensionals, clear Glaze pen.

Relax, it's your day!

038 Hello! I made this for Jen's SFYTT last week, I think. I truley adore Mft, and this set is one I just received last week. Check it out here:  http://www.mftstamps.com  Theres a sale going on, too!  My card didnt get picked, but I think it turned out ok. I pulled out my long neglected Prismacolor pencils, all 120 of them, and my Gamsol. I love the look these create when  blended. My copics werent working for me that day.  I painted the tub and mirror with some Diamond Glaze. I am finding I turn to that way more than my Crystal Effects lately. It is so much more clear than CE. Anyways, tub, lady and floor is cut out and peiced on a scrap of American Crafts dp. The mirror is as well. Its hard to see, but theres Dazzling Diamonds on all the bubbles. The top strip is also AC, and so is the threading water strip. Just the reverse of the polka dot dp. Well, I like this one, its pretty clean for my style! Have a great day!

Anyways, at least he has a job, right? We need to thanks God he has it, instead of complain. But I do it so well! I love birds{stamps} and they seem to be all over lately!I got this Birds Galore from Inkadinkado a few months ago and sadly only used it a few times. I know its not the tons'o'layers trendy, but this is my comfy stamping way. I am done trying to please the masses, I am going to start stamping for fun. Kwim? I love getting tons of comments on my cards, and when I dont I feel like a loser. I forget why I stamp, and thats so sad. I am by far not the best, or the worst. Ok, enough said, I like this card. The paper is a favorite, BasicGrey. Cant go wrong with BasicGrey, I always say! Ok, I dont say it, but I think it!LOL! I took the cs colors, Old Olive and Regal Rose from the dp. I loooove my ornare peircing templates, I have several, but this one is a border one! Its great . Got it over at Ellen Hutsons store. Well, I think the card is pretty straight froward, so hope you enjoy it!Blessings~Kris
